How To Use Promescent
HideHow do I use Promescent?
HideWhy is the metered-dose bottle important?
The metered-dose bottle ensures that each spray contains the same amount of Promescent. This allows you to consistently manage the amount of Promescent that's just right for your level of sensitivity.
HideHow many sprays of Promescent should I use?The FDA monograph instructs the user to use between 3 and 10 sprays. Many men, however, achieve the desired ejaculatory control with 1-2 sprays. Most men adjust the number of sprays per application depending upon such factors as sensitivity level, the time since previous ejaculation, level of arousal and / or how long he wants to last. After just a few applications, Promescent users quickly learn the dose (# of sprays) that gives them the best ejaculatory control. Consistent dosing means consistent control.
HideWhat happens if I use too much Promescent?Temporary loss of erection and numbness may occur. Irritation to the skin may also occur. If either condition occurs, discontinue the use of Promescent. Immediately wash the penis with soap and water, and symptoms should subside in a short period of time. If symptoms persist, contact a physician.
HideWhen should I not use Promescent?Do not use Promescent if you or your partner is allergic to lidocaine or other anesthetics. Do not use on broken or irritated skin. Do not spray near flame or fire. Do not spray in or near eyes or mouth. Do not orally ingest. Promescent is safe for oral contact, but the potential for numbness of a sexual partner is more likely with oral contact. That's why it's important to be sure to thoroughly remove the product prior to oral contact. Do not use Promescent if you or your partner is suffering from liver or kidney disease. Do not use if your partner is or may be pregnant.
HideCan Promescent be used in conjunction with other medications?Consult with your physician before using Promescent if you are being treated for any other medical conditions.
HideIs Promescent safe for use on other parts of your body? No. Promescent can cause serious medical problems if sprayed into the eyes or swallowed. Promescent should only be applied to the penis and must be used as directed.
HideDo I need to have an erection before applying the spray? No. You do not need to have an erection prior to applying the spray.
HideWill Promescent wash off in tub or Jacuzzi?Yes. Promescent is water-soluble so it will wash off in a tub or a Jacuzzi.
HideCan Promescent be used with a lubricant?Yes. Once Promescent has been absorbed (in about 10 minutes) and after any excess product has been removed, lubricant can be used.
HideWill Promescent stain clothing/bed sheets?Staining shouldn't occur if the Promescent is rubbed in as recommended. Any Promescent spots on clothing or bed sheets should be easily removed in the washing machine since the product is water soluble
