Premature Ejaculation (PE) can have Primary and Secondary causes, a common secondary etiology may be Erectile Dysfunction (ED), where there is a failure to maintain a meaningful sustained erection for sexual activity, of course many causes exist for this.
 
The mechanism for PE and ED interaction, involves the conscious effort to hurry ejaculation before the penis softens. We usually find in this scenario that treating the underlying ED often relieves the PE.
